| CARIÑOSA BAGS AWARDS AT TEMIONG FOR 2009! |
|
JCI NAGA CARIÑOSA garnered National Recognition at par with other bigger & more experienced chapters nationwide. At the JCIP Temiong Awards held last Oct. 9, 2009 at Legend Hotel, Puerto Princesa City, Palawan, the Chapter bagged the following recognitions:
Best Business Development Award (Merit Award) for Yule Give Lovin' While Shoppin Year 2.The 3-day bazaar held last December 2008 at the Westpark aimed at different goals, with particular emphasis on supporting local business owners and manufacturers in the selling and promotion of their products and experience the real essence of Christmas which is sharing and giving, as part of the proceeds was given to beneficiaries Bantay Bata Foundation & Missionaries of the Poor Foundation.
Best Joint Work by a Group of JCI Local Organizations (Major Award) for Tabang sa Satuyang Tugang.The Tabang Sa Satuyang Tugang was a project initiatied by JCI Naga Cariñosa and was participated by a number of different chapters from all over the Philippines. In this project, participating Jaycees was given an opportunity to reach out to three sectors of the community that are deemed outcasts and less privileged. In a two-day event, JCI Naga Cariñosa and other participating Local Organizations paid visit, prepared programs and gave packed goods to institutions Villa Marillac Home for the Aged, Cadlan Mental Hospital and the Good Shepherd Foundation.

The JCIP Efficiency Award is given to chapters that achieve great efficiency in promoting JCI values based on the 4 areas of Opportunity laid out by the movement: Individual, Business, Community and International.
Through the years, JCI Naga Cariñosa always aimed for excellence. The 2009 Board led by Chapter President Mary Sharon M. Lobrigo and the rest of the board & members did everything they can to stay dedicated to the commitment of bringing the JCI Naga Cariñosa to the national level, represent the Nagueños and Nagueñas’ cry for change and betterment. More than the hardwork and the responsibilities that each project requires, the Cariñosas always saw those programs as an opportunity to be of service, a privilege to share a part, no matter how little to create a better society.
The Chapter wishes to thank and share the honors to private individuals and institutions who have generously given their support in the initiatives of the JCI Naga Cariñosa, definitely the Chapter wouldn’t have made it if not for the help & assistance of each sponsor who had faith in the organization. |

| The JCI Naga Cariñosa supported the JCI Philippines' National Project in strengthening the capability of the youth and improve the quality of the Filipino people through its annual ALAY LAKAD last August 16, 2009 in Naga City. Through the effort of the members, they invited with them the Sangguniang Kabataan, Naga City Youth Council, and the 9th Infantry Batallion of Philippine Army of Camarines Sur. |

| "Ganda Mo, Hanapbuhay Ko" Project is a livelihood Training Program for unemployed housewives on Basic Cosmetology and Haircutting. The benefeciaries were the chosen individuals representing the 48 barangays of Calabanga Cam. Sur last Jul.27-31, 2009. This is also in coperation with Splash Foundation, Cam Sur Chamber of Commerce and the Government of Camarines Sur, and Penafrancia Tours. |

| "SA NATURAL NA PARAAN, DENGUE MAIIWASAN" |

JCI Naga Cariñosa together with the City Government of Naga & City Health Office has organized an event tagged as “Sa Natural na Paraan, Dengue ay Maiiwasan!”---JCI Naga Cariñosa’s Dengue Prevention Seminar, held on July 29, 2009 2:00 PM at the Naga City Youth Center. The seminar aims to remind us all of the existence of Dengue which is considered to be twice as deadly as AH1NI.The seminar was participated by over 300 Health Officers and volunteer workers representing the 27 Barangays of Naga City, all gleaming with expectation on what they could learn from the seminar, not only to fulfill a duty as public servants, but also to learn these things for personal and family benefits, as it is a known fact that without proper knowledge, anybody can be a victim of Dengue. JCI Naga Cariñosa would like to tahnk the following institutions who made the event a success: the City Government of Naga thru Mayor Jesse M. Robredo, City Health Office, Coca- Cola Bottlers Phils., Inc., Atlantic Bakery, and the volunteers and participants. |

| NAGA CITY'S 61st CHARTERED ANNIVERSARY |
|
The JCI Naga Cariñosa celebrated the Naga City's 61st Chartered Anniversary by joining the Motorcade last June 18, 2009. The motorcade signifies the start of the days' festivities along with the City Government Officials which were present in the program. It was a non-working holiday for both private and public institutions of the City during the said anniversary. |

The JCI Naga Cariñosa spearheaded by their LO President JCI Mem. Mary Sharon Lobrigo attended the Asia Pacific Conference in Nagano, Japan last June 4-7, 2009. She was accompanied by JCI Mem. Jane Chineth Padrigon (VP-External) and JCI Mem. Miel S. Bongon (Sec. Gen) who also attended various events that includes First Timers' Briefing, Trainings, International Nights, General Assembly, and Public Speaking Competition. |

JCI Naga Cariñosa co-hosted the young professional's Congress tagged, "Yuppies for Ina" last May 30, 2009 at Naga Parochial Gym Naga City.By the year 2010, the devotion to Nuestra Señora de Peñafrancia, endearingly called “INA” by the Bicolanos, shall mark its 300th year. For almost three hundred years, Ina guided her children in their journey of faith under the mantle of her maternal love and care. Through the change of time, she never fails to lead her devotees towards maturity in Christ. Hence, the tri-centenary has an over-all theme singularly chosen by Archbishop Leonardo Legaspi, OP., Archbishop of Caceres: Growth in Holiness under the Mantle of Ina. The grandeur of the celebration calls for a three-year preparation in the Spirit of gratitude and thanksgiving. |

The Regional Teambuilding tagged, "JCI Bicol, Saro Kita" was held at Tippy Toppy Food Garden, Daet cam. Norte last May 17, 2009 hosted by JCI Naga Cariñosa. The exciting and hyped teambuilding was participated by some JCI Bicol chapters like JCI Labo Niogan, JCI Legaspi, JCI Bulawan, JCI Daet Kabihug and JCI Naga Cariñosa. The successful teambuilding was also facilitated by JCI Mem. Cherrylyn L. Magracia, CLT and JCI Mem. Katherine Loria of JCI Legazpi-Dawani. |
